ActionScript is a scripting language that is used on the web. ActionScript is used primarily for the development of websites and software using the Adobe Flash Player platform but is also used in some database applications, such as Alpha Five.

My First Client's Website Proposal

My client's main goal on their site is to sell shoes. They want to catch people's attention in order for them to go back to their site and probably buy more shoes. The target audience for their site is from 12 to 25 years old. This site will be mainly only for people who can read, not people with disabilities. One of their favorite sites that have to do with sneakers is zappos.com because they find it a easy site to navigate in.

1. What are you trying to communicate with your version of the Google logo?

I am trying to communicate to people with my version of the Google logo that soccer is one of the best sports out there. Soccer is my favorite sport and Cristiano Ronaldo is my favorite soccer player. I find this sport amusing, fun, and healthy. I want people to see the world other then street violence and useless things and more about being involved in sports.

2. What tools did you use?

I used the lasso tool to cut out the images and place them onto the logo. Also, the eraser tool to erase any edges off of the images, the selection tool to place images onto the right place and make them smaller or thinner.

a. What were your initial goals for the page banner?
My initial goals for the page banner were to make a banner with my name. I really didn't understand the concept of a banner at first. I wanted to put images into it and make it something interesting for people to look at when they saw my page.
b. What design concepts and principles did you incorporate into the page banner?
Some of the design concepts and principles I incorporated into the page banner were different kinds of font. I also inserted an image to the banner and I added a gradient to the background oval, called waves with the colors blue and gray. For the rectangular background I used the chrome reflective.
c. How was each design concept intended to contribute to communicating the purpose of the page banner?
Each design concept was intended to contribute to communicating the purpose of the page banner by catching their attention with the different gradients. The soccer ball image might help other people understand more and also the Puma brand on it, which is my favorite brand.
d. Do you have new goals in mind for the page banner? If so, what are they and why?
I do not have new goals in mind for the page banner, so far.

1.What were your initial goals for the logo?
- My initial goals were to entertain and inform people a little bit more about myself. Also to make it fun and enjoyable to visit my site.
2.Does the logo you have match the initial goals? Why or why not?
- The logo i have partially matches the initial goals. It does because the heart shows i like hearts, also the color pink shows it is my favorite color. The back design, in blur, can let you know I like weird, abstract things. I want to make it more informative.

My Expectations

My expectations for this class are many. I plan on learning much more about Web Design then I already do, well because I don't know much. I hope I can learn how to make my own website. Also, how to create backgrounds and all about html codes. My expectations for my teacher are to be able to get along. I hope I can be able to get help from my teacher and learn as much as I can from her. Some expectations for my peers is to get along with them, to make new friends, and also to help each other in anything we need.
